From an empty room to a supplier order

A boiler room project follows the same path in the app as it does on site. Each step builds on the one before, so nothing gets redrawn.

  1. Room

    Enter the dimensions or draw the walls, then add doors and windows. Load a building plan (PDF, DWG, DXF) as the background and draw on top of it.

    Have a 3D scan from your phone (Polycam, Scaniverse)? Load the .glb file and work inside the real room.

  2. Equipment

    Pick heat pumps, pumps, tanks, valves and fixings from manufacturer catalogues. Every part has its real dimensions and connections: DN, thread, flange or press.

    The library includes GF Piping Systems, Cepex, Sanha, IMI, Grundfos, Viessmann, Walraven and more. Missing a part? Tell us and we will add it.

  3. Piping

    Run a pipe from a connection, and elbows, tees and adapters come from the catalogue of the system you chose. Move the equipment and the pipes follow.

    • Systems: Sanha NiroSan, Série 5000 copper, welded black steel, GF ELGEF PE, PVC-C, PVC-U
    • Insulation, pipe clamps, and flange bolts with gaskets are counted automatically
    • Colour flow and return so the layout reads at a glance

  4. Schematic

    The schematic is built from the 3D scene: standard symbols, lines with DN and a parts list with item numbers. It also works the other way round: draw the schematic and build the 3D from it.

  5. Bill of materials and estimate

    The list builds itself: equipment, pipe lengths by DN, fittings, insulation, clamps and fixings. Add prices and a markup to get an estimate.

  6. Supplier orders

    Turn the list into orders and send them to suppliers from the app. Replies come back into the same thread, next to delivery dates, quotes and declarations.

    An AI agent can draft the emails and collect quotes. In the Procurement window you decide whether it sends on its own or only after you approve.

  7. For installers and clients

    Send a link and the 3D opens on a phone, without the app and without prices. Tap a part to see its name.

    Several people can work at the same time: you see what the others change, and everyone’s changes are kept.

AI assistant and procurement agent work is billed by usage and added to the same invoice. You can see your usage in your profile.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. Protis 3D runs in a desktop browser (Chrome, Edge or Safari). You can install it as a separate window if you like, but you don’t have to. On a phone you get the project list, the assistant and manager approvals, and clients see projects through a public link.

How do I get the manufacturer libraries?

We switch libraries on for the systems you work with. In the app, click Request a library and choose what you need. If a part is missing, email info@protis.lt and we will add it with its real dimensions and connections.

Can I work on a project with a colleague?

Yes. Invite a colleague and you both work in the same project at the same time, seeing each other’s changes and where the other person is looking. If you both change the same thing at once, nothing is lost: the other version is saved in the version history.

How do I show a project to a client or installer?

Create a public link. Opened on a phone or computer, it shows the boiler room in 3D, the room and part names, but not prices. No account is needed.

What files can I export?

A PDF report, the bill of materials as CSV, a PNG image, an IFC model (for BIM and CAD software) and a 3D file as GLB, OBJ, STL or USDZ. The whole project can also be saved as JSON.

Are my projects safe?

Projects are stored in your account, and the server makes a daily backup kept for 14 days. You restore it yourself from the version history, under Server backups. Deleting your account deletes all of its data.

What do the AI assistant and procurement agent do?

The assistant answers questions about your project. The procurement agent drafts emails to suppliers, collects quotes into the order card and follows up with suppliers who have not replied. Significant decisions, such as larger purchases, go to the manager you name for approval.

Is the app available in English?

Yes, the interface can be switched to English. Part names stay as the manufacturer publishes them.

How do I cancel my subscription?

In your profile, click Manage subscription, where you will also find your invoices. The subscription runs to the end of the paid period.
